Bend in the Fosse Way

Uploader's Comments

The Fosse Way, the archetypal straight Roman road, has a slight bend here. The road bends to the east, crosses a stream, and then returns to continue the straight line across the Cotswolds. The pre-war car in the picture does not date from Roman times.
