Here the land changes from commercial forestry to open hillside; although the latter has long been marked as forestry on the map it appears never to have been planted. The stile and gate mark the end of the old farm track which cuts up through the forestry and which is a right-of-way; the right of way continues, but it's now open access land anyway.
