Fox coverts provide an important contribution to Leicestershire's woodland; the county being traditionally one of the least wooded in the country. The covert was planted by Sir Francis Burdett in the 1800s http://www.moscowfarmholidaycottage.co.uk/news_94133.html. Was this the well known parliamentary reformist Sir Francis Burdett (1770-1844), or a later Burdett baronet?
