Silchester Common, Hampshire

Last day of summer: path into woodland on Silchester Common, Hampshire

Uploader's Comments

The growth here is mainly oak, birch and bracken. Further south, many of the trees are hundreds of years old, and species that are not found in newer woodlands exist here. Such woodland is therefore precious.
