A small pond in this field known as "Red Deer Park" can be seen from the path connecting "Lambing Pen Field" with Ashton Court Mansion. Two of Bristol's three red-brick, former bonded tobacco warehouses on Spike Island are visible in the centre. Brunel Way (the A3029) is also obvious, carrying traffic in and out of this part of Bristol.
