I spend a lot of my time photographing the beautiful side of life on the Sands of Forvie, my local nature reserve. Sometimes, however, I come across the more brutal side of the struggle for existence. This large grey seal bull died over night and was washed up on the beach on the next tide. The gulls have already started the recycling process and within a few days the seal will be gone.
