Having discovered that the pub was closed (see [[[4849990]]]), I sat on this tree seat for a while (a quarter of an hour, by the look of it) to ponder my next move, and gather strength. The house without solar panels is called "Swallowdale"; that used to be my favourite among the 12 Swallows and Amazons titles by Arthur Ransome.
