Paddling southwest from Corran Ferry, the coast of Morvern is deserted by the road southwest of Inversand Bay and starts to have the feel of a wilderness coast that is its main characteristic further southwest. Here we are using the ebb tide (less than a knot in this wide part of Loch Linnhe midway between neap and spring tides) to aid our progress towards the Sound of Mull.
