A lot of rusting corrugated-iron roofed buildings still remain here, though earth from the moor above appears to have covered most of the quarried faces, so it is not entirely clear what was being dug out. This is a much bigger feature than several others nearby, which look as though they are merely trials looking for minerals to extract.
