Old Fish Yair, Argyll and Bute

Yair at Colgrain

Uploader's Comments

David Murray's book "Old Cardross" lists all of the yairs (a form of fish-trap) that once existed along the shore of the Clyde. There were six of them; from the first of them, at Ardoch, to the last of them, at Craigendoran, the straight-line distance is 6.7km (about 4 miles).
