Sheep on Roag Island

Uploader's Comments

The sheep are not marooned here. The island is only seldom cut off from the rest of Skye by the highest tides. Most of the time, there is access via a short rocky causeway. The rocky patch in Loch Vatten to the right of this picture is Cleat Skerry, the largest of several seaweed-covered rocks in the loch which lie just submerged at high tide waiting to catch unwary mariners.
