On the shore of the lake someone had left piles of rubbish in the form of beer cans, bottles and other detritus scattered over the fellside. It appears they had burnt a stile in their fire under the rock. One of the steps with its wire treads in shot. I removed as much rubbish as I could and binned it. It is not surprising that wild camping is prohibited in some of our mountain areas. Some folk will spoil it for the rest of us who take our rubbish home.
