On Moses' Trod behind Burnthwaite

Uploader's Comments

Moses' Trod is the name given to the pony path over Styhead Pass which leads from Wasdale into Langdale and Borrowdale. This is in honour of the 18th century Honister quarry worker, Moses Rigg, who added to his wages by distilling illicit whisky, which he brought down into Wasdale via this route.
