A minimal landscape. Looking SSE from the minor road which once linked Barkston with its station, on the East Coast Main Line - the viewpoint being a few hundred metres E of the old station site. The summit of Hambleton Hill, as shown on the 1:25 00 sheet, lies in SK9141. Its easterly slopes lie in SK9241.
