Church Lane Downholme

Uploader's Comments

The bottom end of Church Lane at Downholme. This develops into a footpath which ends at the main road at the bottom of the hill. There is evidence to suggest that it may once have continued to a ford across the Swale, and that in the medieval period the village may have extended along this lane past the church.
