Desert Rats Memorial

Uploader's Comments

Seen here on a wintry day, the Desert Rats Memorial stands beside the A1065 Mundford - Swaffham road. The Desert Rats - 7th Armoured Division - were stationed in Thetford Forest between January and May 1944 during preparations for the Normandy landings. The poppy wreaths show that this is only a few weeks since Remembrance Sunday.
