High Finnock Plantn, Inverclyde

Entrance to the former Inverkip power station

Uploader's Comments

Work on constructing the power station commenced in 1970 and it was commissioned in 1976. It was never fully used proving uneconomic due to the high price of oil. It effectively closed in 1988 and the last remains apart from this building were demolished in 2013.
