The steep sided, wooded valley to the south of Luddesdown is one of the quietest and least-known parts of Kent. It is known as Bowling Alley. The Wealdway runs from Luddesdown Church up through the valley to the North Downs. This looks up the valley with Buckland Road just the other side of the hedge on the left.
