The ground anchor, chains and cables support a tall slender pole. Attached to the pole are three anemometers and two wind vanes, a solar panel, control/relay box and associated wiring. The purpose of the equipment is no doubt to gather and forward information regarding wind speed and direction for the Edinbane wind farm, which stands a couple of kilometres distant.
