Foyers, Falls of, near mouth of river Foyers, on E. side of Loch Ness, Inverness-shire; the lower fall was pronounced by Professor Wilson to be "the most magnificent cataract in Britain;" the River Foyers flows 9 miles N. to Loch Ness, 10½ miles NE. of Fort Augustus; on the right bank, at its mouth (on the site of the "General's Hut"), is Foyers Hotel, with steamboat jetty; on the left bank is Foyers House.
