The base of the Nebbifield cliff, Foula

Uploader's Comments

One thousand feet to the sea. Quite exhilarating lying on the grass with your head close to the precipice. The cliffs of Foula and St Kilda vie as record holders for height and steepness for coastal cliffs. According to Chris Mylne in his book on Foula "This is the landscape of the longest wall of vertical rock, two miles from NE to SW, and the second highest vertical, or near vertical cliff face in the UK."
