Coyty, par., SE. Glamorgan, on river Ogwr, 1½ mile NE. of Bridgend, 4617 ac., pop. 3796; P.O., called Coity; contains the townships or Higher Coyty, 2937 ac., pop. 515, and Lower Coyty, 1680 ac., pop. 3281; also Coyty Castle (1091), a fine old ruin.
