Island of Eynhallow with the Burgar Roost in full flow

Uploader's Comments

The Roost is whipped up when the outgoing ebb tide meets the Atlantic swell over a sudden rise in the seabed. It doesn't always have to be windy for it to make life dangerous for peedie boats. You can hear the roar from Aikerness beach.
